What permits do I need?
Each type of project may require more than one permit. Click on the your project type to learn about what you need to do prior to applying for permits. Most likely, you will need to conduct property research to identify if Planning and/or Onsite Permits are required prior to applying for the Building Permit.

1 & 2 Family Dwellings and Structures

Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU)
Agricultural or Equine Exempt Permit
Apply for an Agricultural or Equine Exempt Permit. Certain “agriculture buildings” are not subject to commercial structural inspections and may be “exempt” from structural building permits (reference ORS 455.315
